The Career Pathway is adopted based on the career development and vocational choice theory developed by American psychologist John L. Holland in 1959, RIASEC Test. Holland, an academic psychologist, is known as the developer of a theory emphasizing the alignment between an individual's personality and work environment to achieve career satisfaction and success.

The RIASEC test is a tool that helps people find careers and fields of study that are likely to satisfy them. It's based on the theory that people perform best in environments that align with their level on six personality factors, Realistic (R), Investigative (I), Artistic (A), Social (S), Enterprising (E), Conventional (C).
